11-9

the weekend has been much fun really. Friday after hearing a commercial on the radio about Trans Siberian Orchestra, I decided I wanted to go see them. I got home bought tickets for the Saturday show. after working a nice 10 hour day we got off to Seattle and into the most uncomfortable seats ever. who knew that arena stadium seating was meant for kids and not adults. the seats were packed in. I sat down and my knees hit the seat in front of me. there was no room. it was tight but I managed to sit there for 3 hours before it was time to go. the music was awesome. when the singing parts happened I just tried to tell myself it would be over soon. the laser light show was really really bright but also really cool. pyrotechnics rock no mater how it goes so there isn't much to say about that. it was fun and I totally understand why some people don't really like going to concerts. packed in with idiots of all shape and color unable so escape the parts that make you want to scream in pain. so did I say how much the music rocked. yeah it was fun but I don't think I'm going to run out and buy more concert tickets anytime soon. maybe later on there will be something that strikes my fancy but lets hope that its at a different venue. I think what I'm trying to say is I'm not a sardine and I don't like being treated like one. today rocked too. after repeated attempts and finally failing to find someone to go with me I gave up and went to the Gem and Mineral show on my own. it was so my kind of cool. I found a salt lamp for under $20. I'm completely happy about that. Ive been looking different places and all the prices Ive been seeing were over $40 plus shipping. salt lamps are heavy. the idea of shipping it did not make me happy. I finally have one and I'm so glad. today was like an early Christmas shopping day just for me. lol If I'd been thinking I could have gotten lamps for other people too but I was so wrapped up in my happy place everyone else totally slipped my mind. I got some more rocks too but the salt lamp was the win for the day. after the rock show I had to head to walmart to do some jean shopping. I ripped the butt out of my jeans on Saturday at work so that left me with a single pair of pants that fit. having only one pair of pants leads to lots of laundry. I hate buying pants. nothing ever fits like the pair I'm inevitably replacing. after trying on multiple pairs I found one that was perfect. and looking at the tag I notices why. Id grabbed a pair of size 16 by mistake. let me tell ya it feels good to be in a 16. when I headed out to Texas I was wearing 24. right now size16 rocks. the weekend has been really good. I got good music and rocks and skinny jeans. I'm going to bask in the rocky skinny goodness of it all tomorrow before getting back to work Tuesday. the upcoming week is going to be a killer. Saturday is scheduled to be a 13 hour day. the rest of the week isn't bad but is going to be long as well. I'm hoping to set a pattern of not dreading Saturday for the hell I know its going to be. its our grand reopening party at work. its going to be an owner filled day of hell and over customer servicing people. I think tomorrow I'm going to get to drive the mustang for the first time. it needs an oil change and Jer forgot to do it Saturday so he is going to leave it with me so it gets done. Thursday I take raiden to get his staples out. Ill miss him running into things with the cone but I'm also positive he wont miss it at all. I'm not looking forward to the busyness of later but I'm muchly enjoying the goodness of now.
