Ive been looking at the blog and saying to myself its time to post but keep getting distracted.
the trip to my moms was great. it took us between 14-15 hrs on the trips down and back. it was a long drive but totaly worth it. it really didnt seem like that long in the car. the trip down was easier on me and rougher on Carole. leaving at 2am really wasnt conducive to good sleep befor the long drive. we were able to catch up on sleep wile at my moms so it worked out. the trip back was easier on her but I was prety tore up. I was way to tired to function and she drove the whole way home. Carole did a couple riding lessons for my mom and one for a neighbor. everyone just loved Carole which was great. got to visit a bit with some other people in my family too who came up for dinner one day. came home with a couple saddles and my mom loved all the tack I brought up to her. the trip was great and both Carole and I had much fun.
the L&I case is still working. I got the denial on the reopen and then another denial for my protest. the adjuster reviewing the protest said that I just need to start a new case because its an occupational injury. the HR manager says the opening of the case is up to the private insurance company my work goes through. the insurance company says talk to L&I. everyone is sending me someplace else and its driving me crazy. talked to HR again this morning and she says the case is open. so frustrated by everything I could just explode. its obviously to much to ask for someone who knows whats going on and the proper steps I should be taking to get my shoulder fixed.
I am now the property manager where I live. its interesting. Im still doing all the things I have always done since moving in here but now Im getting my rent lowered in exchange for the work I do. last week I got a huge 'garbage' pile cleaned up and burned. got the deck power washed so its not so slick. now I need to get working on getting the water and power lines that were buried months ago hooked up so that there is water down to the barn. I need to get it done fast if I dont want to have to worry about the hoses freezing this winter.
life has been busy. Id like to get back to working soon. we could really use the money. essential loosing jers raise cause Im not working really blows. having the little bit im bringing in from the property manager gig is less than half I what I was making wile working. I hate the L&I stuff thats eating time wile everyone runs around with their head up their buts. income and less pain and being back to working again...is it really to much to ask?
